Meet The Doctor

Dr. Karen Yen is a Houston-area native and Rice University Graduate. After completing her undergraduate studies in Cognitive Sciences and Biochemistry, she went to Dallas to pursue her dental training at Texas A&M College of Dentistry. Upon completion, she quickly moved back to her hometown to fulfill her dream of becoming a practicing professional in the community that has shown warmth and support to her family for many years.

In her free time, Dr. Yen enjoys playing the cello, an activity she has practiced for half her life and claims it gives her hands the exercise and dexterity needed in dentistry. Dr. Yen’s musical talents helped her win the Miss Chinatown Houston Scholarship Pageant in July of 2018, just weeks before she started dental school.

Dr. Yen specializes in General Dentistry; crowns, fillings, veneers, comprehensive oral health, complex case management, and clear aligner therapy. She remains active in community outreach and is thrilled to join the Polish team of dentists as a bilingual provider in the vibrant and diverse Midtown/ Montrose Houston neighborhood.
